Since 1998, Glenammer has been raising the bar in the test sieves industry, leading the way in innovation, and helping customers throughout the world achieve the finest and most accurate samples. The company produces a range of high-end stainless steel test sieves, airjet sieves, and sieve shakers, to assist particle analysis, sample size grading, and material separation.
In the past 20 years the family-run business has increased turnover from £100,000 to over £1million, expanded its global presence significantly, now exporting to 70 countries worldwide, and have grown their workforce to 15. In 2016 founder Allen Matthews retired, and his daughter, Claire Wallis, now manages the business.
Glenammer bases it’s management model on the 5S implementation methodology of the Six Sigma technique, and Technical & Operations Adviser Daniel Smith, who is also part of the family, has recently achieved yellow belt certification in the model. The Six Sigma technique, which is used in companies such as Motorola and General Electric, aims to help companies improve business processes and achieve operational excellence.
Managing Director Claire Wallis comments: “It is an exciting time for us just now at Glenammer. Our rebranding is not just cosmetic and very much represents change. We have recently expanded our operations to a 7000 sq ft factory in order to allow us to control many of the sieve production processes in-house so we can improve efficiency and enhance product consistency, and we are continually looking at ways to develop the product range. We have invested in a new piece of machinery to ensure a more streamlined and consistent way of welding, and we will also be launching a new advanced sieve shaker next month.
The world around us is changing and at Glenammer we are determined to continue to lead the way in innovation, yet remain true to our core values of honesty, loyalty, customer satisfaction and perfection. We are extremely passionate about producing the highest quality of test sieves – we know that for our customers particle analysis is key and the most exacting standards are required, and our mission is to help our customers achieve the very best in their game.”
For me, Glenammer have a combination of great service, fantastic products and excellent technical advice. They are the best in the world!
We started a relationship with Glenammer in 2012 after Mr Allen Matthews visited us in Australia. The quality of the products and level of service we continue to receive from Glenammer have been of the highest standard which has remained unchanged since the beginning. The staff are always very approachable and helpful, it has been a pleasure and privilege to deal with them.
We have worked alongside Glenammer for five years and have always appreciated an honest, two-way, working relationship. We often pick up the phone and discuss client needs and how to improve and develop products to the benefit of both our family run businesses. We like Claire's fresh, open and honest approach and her desire to expand and adapt the business to keep up with the times.
We have moved to purchasing our test sieves from Glenammer as we have found the costs to be good value but they also offer an excellent lead time for delivery, backed up with good customer service.
The Chainbridge Steel Group are processors of mild steel strip mill products and have been working with Glenammer for 5 years now, supplying them with high grade mild steel for the manufacturing of their plates for their premium test sieves.
